Post Installation tasks

After the installation was successful and all components are up and running, the following configurations have to be completed before the product is ready to use:

Step 1: Configure Network Policies

By default, all outgoing traffic is restricted. Cloud Solution Workbench will work properly if you configure the Network Policies

Step 2: Create user accounts

With Keycloak, the installation procedure creates realms, clients and roles, but it does not create any users. Create at least one user account in Keycloak and assign the required roles (see configure users).

With Microsoft Entra ID, the installation does not create the app registration, clients, or roles. Create those in Entra ID, assign the workbench roles (dc_developer or dc_admin) to at least one user, and ensure the Helm values described in Use Microsoft Entra ID as OIDC provider were set during installation.

Step 3: Configure one of the supported Git providers

The Solution Designer offers the flexibility to connect to one or more Git providers. Please configure the Solution Designer as described in setting up the Git repository.

Step 4: Install initial design recipes, profiles and baselines after installation

Use this procedure after installation to load the platform’s initial design recipes, profiles and baselines into the Designer.

Step 5: Start usage

All setup is done to start with using workbench.

If you use Managed Stacks (deprecated, off by default), continue with Install runtime for Managed Stacks to enable runtime Helm values, third-party build and deploy services, and deployment targets.
